Terms of service

Last updated: September 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Kingdom Letters’ websites, customer accounts, The Postscript app, subscriptions, products, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Kingdom Letters, LLC. By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement. Provide accurate information, protect access to your email and account, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. We may refuse, limit, or cancel service for fraud, abuse, legal compliance, safety, or violation of these Terms.

2. Orders, prices, and payments

Prices, product descriptions, availability, and promotions may change. The price and recurring terms displayed at checkout apply to that purchase. You authorize Kingdom Letters and Shopify’s payment providers to charge the selected payment method, including recurring subscription renewals. Taxes are collected when required. We may correct errors and cancel or refund an affected order.

3. Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Renewal timing, management options, failed-payment retries, and cancellation effects are described in the Purchase Options Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. You are responsible for canceling before the next charge and maintaining current payment and shipping information.

4. License and intellectual property

The Services and all Kingdom Letters content—including devotional letters, reflection cards, text, artwork, designs, photographs, graphics, logos, product names, downloads, and app content—are owned by or licensed to Kingdom Letters and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license for personal, noncommercial use. You may not copy, publish, sell, distribute, adapt, scrape, train an automated system on, remove notices from, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

5. User submissions

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Kingdom Letters a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display it only as reasonably needed to operate, improve, moderate, and promote the feature consistent with the visibility and permissions presented when you submit. If you separately authorize a testimonial or public marketing use, that permission also applies. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it is lawful, truthful, and does not violate another person’s privacy or rights.

We may moderate, decline, or remove submissions that are unlawful, threatening, exploitative, deceptive, infringing, unsafe, off-topic, or inconsistent with the purpose of the community. Do not post confidential information, emergency requests, or another person’s sensitive information without permission.

6. Spiritual and informational content

Kingdom Letters provides Christian devotional and community content for encouragement and general information. It is not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, crisis, or individualized pastoral care. We do not promise a particular spiritual, emotional, health, financial, or other outcome. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not misuse the Services; interfere with security or operation; attempt unauthorized access; introduce malicious code; impersonate another person; harass others; submit unlawful or infringing content; use automated extraction without permission; evade purchase limits; or engage in payment, refund, promotion, or chargeback fraud.

8. Third-party services

Shopify and other third parties may provide payments, hosting, authentication, links, integrations, and delivery. Their separate terms and privacy practices may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

9. Refunds, shipping, and disputes

The Return and Refund Policy and Shipping and Resend Policy are incorporated into these Terms. Payment disputes and chargebacks are governed by the detailed Chargebacks and Payment Disputes section of the Return and Refund Policy. Filing a chargeback is not a substitute for canceling a subscription and may cause the associated subscription or fulfillment to be paused or canceled while the dispute is reviewed.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free content, guaranteed postal delivery dates, or that every statement will meet every user’s expectations. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kingdom Letters and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from the Services. Our aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Kingdom Letters for the product or subscription giving rise to the claim during the six months before the event. This limitation does not apply where prohibited or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Kingdom Letters harmless from third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless applicable consumer law requires another forum, courts located in Oakland County, Michigan will have jurisdiction. Before filing a lawsuit, the parties are encouraged to send written notice and make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.

14. Changes, severability, and entire agreement

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. These Terms and the incorporated policies are the entire agreement concerning the Services, except for specific written terms presented for a particular purchase.
